Kate serves as the Director, Higher Education for IELTS USA. Kate’s background is in Enrollment Management where she has worked with both domestic and international student populations. She is also a member of International ACAC where she has served on several committees. | Dr. Jennifer Davis serves as the Director of International Studies at Texas A&M University-Texarkana. This role leads global engagement efforts to enhance internationalization endeavors. She focuses on expanding the global mindsets of students, faculty, and the community by overseeing international student recruitment, study abroad development, and intercultural engagement activities. | Cheryl Ernst, Ph.D. is the Executive Director of the American English Institute at the University of Oregon. She has been involved with Study Oregon since she moved to Oregon and is the out-going chair. With over 25 years of teaching and administrative experience, building bridges through international education is her passion. | Joan Kanlian is Director of the U.S. Department of Commerce's Westchester Export Assistance Center, located in White Plains, New York. Her office provides exporting assistance to firms located throughout the Hudson Valley, Capital Region, and the North County of New York State. The U.S. Commercial Service is the U.S. federal government agency dedicated to helping U.S. companies export their products and services, with offices across the United States and in 70 countries overseas. She’s worked with Study New York, a consortium of higher education institution working to attract international students, since it was founded in 2009. She also helps coordinates the USA: A Study Destination Pavilion at NAFSA, bringing together 12 study state consortia, and serves as the National Liaison for Study State Consortia for the U.S. Commercial Service Global Education Team. | Doug Langhans, Senior Admissions Advisor at SUNY Cortland and Past-Chair of Study New York, has been involved with the consortium since it was formed in 2009 and has been the primary representative at various international recruitment events during the past few years. He has more than 26 years of admissions experience and has been involved with international recruitment for the past 19 years. | Dr. Lokesh Shivakumaraiah is the Executive Director of International Relations and Assistant to the Provost at Mississippi Valley State University. He has over 14 years of professional experience from Coordinator to Executive Director in the area of international education and student services at public land grant, private and HBCU institutions. He has also served as the Clinical Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Mississippi State University and helped MSU start their Engineering on the Coast program in Mississippi Gulf Coast. He had formerly held positions of the Associate Director of International Institute at Mississippi State University, Assistant Director of International Recruitment and Admissions at Metropolitan College of New York, a private college, and the Director of International Programs at Jackson State University, a Historically Black College and University. Dr. Shivakumaraiah is also the current Chair and founding President of the state-wide StudyMississippi Consortium. He had also briefly worked with the Study New York Consortium. |
